How to use this booklet
This booklet has been written as a reference guide for those who have had some training or experience in using email. It is not a training course in itself, though it can be used to help people learn to use email.
Using computers, email and the internet means learning a lot of new concepts, processes and words. If you have forgotten what a particular word means, you can look it up in the Glossary.
The pictures in this booklet can help to remind you what certain buttons, objects displayed on the screen, or keys on the keyboard do.
And if you have forgotten how to send an email, or how to delete spam, this booklet will give you step-by-step instructions.
Using computers and email for the first time is not easy. Everyone learns by lots of practice. The more you use email, the quicker and better you will get, and the less strange it will seem.
Once an Internet connection is paid for, email is free. You can quickly communicate with anyone in the world who has an email address, to find out about opportunities, conduct business and stay in touch with friends and family.
